You can configure working hours and time zone for every sender per campaign.
Working hours and time zone can be configured:
while you're launching a campaign
when your campaign is running
when your campaign is paused
⚠️ Working hours and time zone cannot be configured/edited when your campaign is finished.
How to configure working hours and time zone when launching a campaign
Whenever you're launching a new campaign, you'll have an obligatory step Schedule. In that tab, you can configure:
start and end date of the campaign
active hours for all senders in the campaign
active days for all senders in said campaign
How to configure working hours and time zone when editing a campaign?
If you want to change the working hours and time zone of the senders while the campaign is active or paused, you can go straight to that campaign.
Open it, click on the Edit Campaign in the upper right-hand corner.
Edit other variables in the campaign if needed and go to the Schedule tab. There you'll find the option to edit the following:
start and end date of the campaign
active hours for all senders in the campaign
active days for all senders in said campaign
Once you have configured all the details you want, click on Continue. Tab Preview will open, and you'll be able to double-check all details and edit once again if needed.
From there, you can click the Resume button, and campaign will continue running with the new changes.
What can you configure?
There are five configuration options, and each one plays a vital role in your campaign's success.
Start date - determines when the campaign starts. It can also be set for a future date. If so, the campaign will have a 'Scheduled' status. It cannot be set for a past date and cannot be changed once the campaign starts.
End date - determines when the campaign ends. It cannot be a date preceding the start date. Once the end date arrives, the campaign will default to the 'Finished' status.
Time zone - determines the time zone the campaign will follow. Time zones are all GMT-centred.
Active hours - determines the hours when the campaign will be active. Active hours are set to military time (24-hour clock), and the end time cannot precede the starting time.
Days - determines the day when the campaign will be active.
These settings apply to all senders in the campaign.
As such, there are no sender-specific working hours or time zones in a HeyReach campaign.
🚨 If your campaign is supposed to be active, but it is showing as inactive hours, please check the time zone. The senders will start sending in the time zone that's set for them, which might be different from yours.
Best practices for configuring working hours and time zones:
Active hours: It's best to have your campaign's working hours in the 8 to 12-hour range.
Working hours: The tool adds a random delay between actions to ensure your behaviour is random and human-like, and if your campaign works 3 hours a day, your sender might not reach their daily limits.
Active days: We've seen that the Mon-Fri schedule works the best for reaching out to typical B2B people, or people who are not founders/entrepreneurs. On the other hand, entrepreneurs and C-level executives respond mostly on the weekends.
One sender, multiple campaigns: If you have two campaigns with the same sequence and senders, but their working hours are one after the other, the first campaign may hit your sender's daily limits. As such, your second campaign might underperform. It's best to have all campaigns active within the same working hours and to have a maximum of two campaigns per sender.
