How to create your first list of leads in HeyReach

To get started using HeyReach, the first thing you should do is create a list of leads. These leads are the potential customers you're going to reach out to and try to convert them to customers.

To get started, press the “Leads” button from the menu in the left corner. You can filter out the lists of leads, companies, or show both of them in HeyReach.

As you can see, all of the leads in HeyReach are organized into lists. There are lists of leads (people) and lists of companies.

Tap on the “Add leads” button and select the import method that works for you. HeyReach offers a couple of different options for importing leads.

You can choose from the LinkedIn search bar, Sales Navigator, LinkedIn Recruiter, LinkedIn group, LinkedIn event, LinkedIn post, or CSV.

Besides this, if you get leads from Apollo, ZoomInfo, or anywhere on the internet, you can import them directly from a CSV file.

Let's create our first list of leads. We'll start with the most basic one - import from LinkedIn search bar.

Go to your LinkedIn account and type “Head of Sales,” for example. Now, simply copy the link from above.

Go back to HeyReach, and select the option “LinkedIn Search Bar” as an import method.

Simply paste the URL of the LinkedIn search, select the LinkedIn accounts you want to execute the search from, and give the list a name. After it's imported - it's gonna show as a list in the 'Leads' screen.

🚀 Oh, we almost forgot to mention…

With HeyReach, you can select multiple LinkedIn accounts and run the import from all of them. By default, you can export up to 1,000 search results per one LinkedIn account. Doing this with multiple LinkedIn accounts will generate much more results. All results will be merged into one list, and all duplicates will be deleted.

🧠 While search results are being imported, you can continue using HeyReach, switch, or close the tab. You don't have to wait on the screen while the list is being imported - it's done fully in the background.

Import leads from API or Clay

There's another way to import leads into HeyReach - through the API or the integrations (eg: Clay). This import method is preferred by the lead-gen agencies and sales teams who generate leads dynamically, on the go (eg: social listening, website visitors identification).

There are two ways to add leads to HeyReach using the API/Clay:

  1. Add leads to a list: fills a HeyReach list with leads, but doesn't add them to a campaign

  2. Add leads to a campaign: adds the leads to a HeyReach campaign, and also to the list that's selected in the campaign.

So, the process to add leads dynamically into HeyReach is the following one:

  1. Create a campaign in HeyReach

  2. In the first step 'List of leads', click on 'Create empty list' button

  3. Select the empty list as a list of leads, and continue to the next step

  4. Build the campaign as usual, and launch it

  5. Using the API (or Clay/RB2B) - start filling in the leads through the API call 'AddLeadsToCampaignV2'
