How to add an Exclude List to my Campaign?
How to add an Exclude List to my Campaign?
Updated over 3 weeks ago

The Exclude (Black) List can be added to a campaign as an option that is available only for a campaign that has not launched yet, meaning it's in the draft status.

🚨 Lead Lists imported via CSV that were not included in any campaign cannot be used as an exclude list. Since the imported data for the lead is not matched and scraped properly, therefore you see a warning icon next to the lead.

As a workaround solution, we recommend starting a campaign with this lead list > create a sequence with a 'View action' and nothing else. This way, each lead that will enter the sequence, once the action is executed, will be matched and scraped. Afterward, you can use this list as an exclusion list.

Adding an exclude before launching a campaign

Step 1: Open a draft campaign

Navigate to the Campaign tab and find and open a campaign that is in draft status.

Step 2: Choose & select the Exclude list

Once the campaign is open, you will be taken to the first tab called List of Leads.

On the right upper corner, there is the option Select Exclude List that gives you a drop-down menu with all of the lists imported into your HeyReach workspace.

Please choose and select the desired list, but remember to avoid using a freshly imported CSV lead list.

Step 3: Review & Launch

If the total setup for your campaign is ready then the last thing to do is to hit the 'Launch Campaign' button.

HeyReach will exclude all the leads that are addressed in the Exclude list and stop them from entering the campaign.
