Step 1: Initiate integration with Slack in HeyReach dashboard
1️⃣ Open your HeyReach dashboard, and navigate to the Integrations tab.
Find Slack, and click on Connect with Slack.
2️⃣ A new window will open. Click on Connect Slack.
3️⃣ After that, you’ll see the right slider where you need to:
Name your Slack connection.
This is required as you can have an infinite number of connections, so you’re able to have it organized.Add Slack URL. (Look at the next step.)
Choose when you want to be notified on Slack.
Just tickle the boxes per your preferences. One box is a minimum. Yes, you can tackle all of them.
Step 2: Generate Webhook from Slack
1️⃣ Go to the Slack Admin panel, and click on Configure apps.
2️⃣ The App directory window will open.From there, navigate to Custom integrations.
3️⃣ Click on Incoming Webhooks.
4️⃣ A new window will open. Click on Add to Slack.
5️⃣ In the next window, you’ll see the option Post to channel.
Choose from the dropdown menu a channel you want to give permission to receive triggers from HeyReach, or choose to create a new channel if you don’t have one set up already.
For example, I chose HeyReach-campaigns that we’ve created previously.
6️⃣ Click on Add Incoming WebHooks Integration.
Step 3: Connect Webhooks on HeyReach
1️⃣ Copy the Webhook URL from Slack’s Admin panel.
2️⃣ Head back to HeyReach and paste it into the designated place in the slider window.
3️⃣ Tick the boxes for events you want to receive notifications.
4️⃣ Click on Create Connection.
That’s it! You’re connected! 🎉
Step 4: Test it, just in case.
1️⃣ Click on the Edit button on your integration card.
2️⃣ The right slider will slide in. You’ll notice a blue button that says Test Connection.
You should get both:
-> Green text confirmation it’s successfully connected like on the image below.
-> And a message from HeyReach BOT in your dedicated Slack channel confirming the same like on the following image.
