Here’s how to spot the most common mistakes when setting up a campaign.

1️⃣ Short 'Delay Time' for accepting Connection Requests.

Setting the delay time to 1 day is often too short for leads to accept your connection request. Typically, leads take a few days to respond. When a lead accepts the request after just 1 day, they have already been moved to the left side of the sequence.

Many users find that the number of messages sent appears lower than the number of connections accepted.

This happens because those leads accepted the request after the 1-day delay, which falls outside the sequence’s timing rules. As a result, they are moved to the left side, ending the campaign prematurely.

Advice for you

For optimal results, set the delay to 7-12 days. This allows leads enough time to accept the connection request and move to the success side of the workflow, where they can receive follow-up messages and further actions.


2️⃣ Running multiple ongoing campaigns from the same LinkedIn account.

You can connect one LinkedIn account to multiple campaigns. However, keep in mind that the daily action limit is 40 per account.

💡 If you have 4 active campaigns sending Connection Requests, the 40 daily limits would ideally allow for 10 Connection Requests per campaign, but this distribution may not always be even, as the first launched campaign takes priority, and can sometimes max out all the actions.

When multiple campaigns are run from the same LinkedIn account, the available actions per campaign decrease. This can lead to some campaigns having no actions left, which may create the impression that they aren’t functioning properly.

In reality, the actions have likely been executed in the other campaigns.

In order to get a better performance, we advise running a max of 2 campaigns simultaneously from 1 LinkedIn account. The priority will go to the first campaign launched, as we have no control over the system at this stage.

🚨 You can't prioritize specific campaigns. If you want a particular campaign to receive full action limits, you'll need to pause the other campaigns.

Advice for you

To improve performance, it's best to run a maximum of two campaigns at the same time from one LinkedIn account. You can also run two different campaigns with unique actions.

For example, one campaign can connect with leads while the other sends follow-up messages, likes posts, etc to your network leads.

🧠 In the LinkedIn Accounts tab, you can easily check the daily limits by clicking on the account to see if they are being met.


3️⃣ Being Unaware of the Lead Connection Degree.

Let’s straighten this out 👉 Knowing the connection degree of the leads in the campaign list is important because including the wrong actions in the sequence setup can lead to failing the leads and poor campaign performance.

Campaigns where the first action includes:

  1. Connection request action to 1st-degree connections (leads that are connected with you already).

  2. Message action to 2nd and 3rd-degree connections (leads that are not your connections).

Advice for you

Kindly filter your lead list before starting a campaign, this will help prevent such issues.

The first action for 1st-degree connections can be:

  • View profile

  • Like post

  • Send Message

The first action for 2nd and 3rd-degree connections can be:

  • View Profile

  • Follow

  • Like post

  • Send connections request (with or without personalized message)

  • Send InMail
