How to configure my Custom Proxy if already connected to HeyReach?
Updated over 2 weeks ago

In addition to the standard connection methods, HeyReach allows you to connect your LinkedIn sender via a custom proxy.

If you decide to use this feature, here’s everything you need to know.

1. Bring Your Own Proxy

• If you want to use a proxy from a specific location, you can bring your own custom proxy.

• HeyReach does not sell custom proxies. It is your responsibility to find and purchase one from a reliable provider.

2. Proxy Type Recommendations

• The best proxy type is a Static Residential Proxy.

• On average, one LinkedIn account uses 600–800 MB per month.

3. Vendor Support Matters

Choose a proxy provider that offers quick replacements (within 24 hours). If your proxy fails, your LinkedIn account won’t work properly.

Here's a list of tested proxy vendors.
1. IP Royal
2. Bright Data
3. NetNut

How to Configure a Custom Proxy in HeyReach

Here's a detailed video tutorial that can guide you through the process.

Step 1: Access Proxy Configuration

Navigate to the LinkedIn Accounts tab. Locate the LinkedIn sender for which you want to configure the proxy. Click the three-dot menu and select Configure Proxy.

Step 2: Enter Proxy Details

In the proxy settings window (which slides out on the right side of the screen), input the following details:

Host

Port

Proxy Username

Proxy Password

Step 3: Verify and Update

Click Verify Proxy. Wait for a green message confirming that the proxy has been validated. Once validated, click Update Proxy to apply the settings.

Step 4: Completion

After applying the proxy, the new proxy location will be successfully assigned to your LinkedIn sender.

Troubleshooting Proxy Issues

1. Incorrect Proxy Format

Common mistakes include:

• Adding too many dots or extra numbers in the host or port fields.

• Mixing up the host and port fields.

• Leaving trailing colons (e.g., adding “:**” at the end of the host).

• Inserting blank spaces between proxy details.

💡 Tip: Always copy and paste the proxy details carefully, ensuring there are no blank spaces or formatting errors.

2. Faulty Proxy

If the proxy is invalid, HeyReach will display a red error message indicating that the proxy is not compatible. This will prevent you from proceeding.

Solution: Contact your proxy provider to verify the health and compatibility of the proxy. Request a replacement if needed.
