What does my LinkedIn account status mean?
Updated this week

Learn what each LinkedIn sender status means and how to troubleshoot issues effectively.

The LinkedIn Accounts tab in HeyReach allows you to manage and monitor the status of your LinkedIn senders.

🧠 In HeyReach, the LinkedIn accounts are called senders when put in a campaign.

HeyReach tracks 10 different LinkedIn sender statuses, each representing the current state of the LinkedIn sender during or after connecting to the workspace.

To make navigation easier, you can filter senders by sender status, view the number of LinkedIn senders in each status, and select specific statuses to filter only those LinkedIn senders.

Status: Not Connected

The LinkedIn sender is no longer connected to HeyReach. Senders in this status cannot be added to campaigns, and performance metrics for previous campaigns will no longer be available.

Common Reasons for Disconnection:

• LinkedIn session expired (most common).

• Username or password was changed.

• Proxy network issues.

• Additional verification steps required (e.g., 2FA or CAPTCHA).

How to Troubleshoot:

1. Click the Reconnect button. If you initially connected using LinkedIn credentials, this should resolve the issue if the credentials are still valid.

2. If reconnection fails, use the HeyReach Chrome extension for a seamless connection. Learn more about using the Chrome extension here.

3. To completely remove the sender, refer to the article: How to disconnect my LinkedIn account?

Status: Connecting

This status appears after you’ve entered LinkedIn credentials or used the HeyReach Chrome extension. It indicates HeyReach is trying to establish a connection with your account.

Additional Input Needed:

You will be prompted for a PIN code to complete the process. After entering the PIN, this status may reappear briefly. The process usually takes a few seconds to 15 minutes.

How to Troubleshoot:

• If the account remains in “Connecting” for more than 15 minutes, contact HeyReach Support via the in-app LiveChat in the bottom-right corner.

Status: Not synced

HeyReach couldn’t sync your LinkedIn account, even though the credentials were correct. Accounts in this status cannot be used in campaigns or for lead imports.

How to Troubleshoot:

1. Click the Re-sync button. If successful, the status will update to Available.

2. If re-syncing fails, disconnect the sender and try connecting again. Refer to the article: How to disconnect my LinkedIn account?

Status: Syncing

HeyReach is actively syncing your LinkedIn account. This process takes a few seconds to a maximum of 15 minutes.

How to Troubleshoot:

• If syncing exceeds 15 minutes, contact HeyReach Support via LiveChat.

Status: In x Campaigns

The LinkedIn sender is successfully connected and is active in a campaign. The number displayed reflects how many campaigns the sender is currently part of.

How to Troubleshoot:

• If your sender shows as Available but should be in a campaign, check the campaign’s status. Senders will only display as active if the campaign is ongoing. For paused, draft, cancelled, or failed campaigns, the sender status will revert to Available. Learn more about campaign statuses here.

Status: Available

The LinkedIn sender is successfully connected but not currently active in any campaign.

Status: PIN required

The account requires a PIN code to complete the connection process.

How to Enter the PIN:

1. Click Enter PIN.

2. A popup will appear where you can input the code.

Where to Find the PIN:

Email Inbox: PINs sent via email are valid for 15 minutes.

SMS: PINs sent via SMS are valid for 15 minutes.

Google Authenticator: PINs are valid for 30 seconds.

How to Troubleshoot:

• If you entered the wrong PIN, retry by clicking Enter PIN again.

• If the PIN isn’t arriving, disconnect the sender via the three-dot menu and reconnect using the HeyReach Chrome extension.

Status: PIN expired

The PIN code entered has expired. Email/SMS PINs expire after 15 minutes, and Google Authenticator PINs expire after 30 seconds.

How to Troubleshoot:

• Retry by clicking Enter PIN and entering a valid code.

• If the issue persists, disconnect the sender via the three-dot menu and reconnect using the HeyReach Chrome extension.

Status: Wrong Credentials

The LinkedIn credentials entered are incorrect (e.g., wrong password).

💡 Ensure you use the exact email address and current password associated with your LinkedIn account.

How to Troubleshoot:

1. Click Reconnect to re-enter your credentials.

2. If unsuccessful, disconnect the sender via the three-dot menu and reconnect using the HeyReach Chrome extension.
