What are AI Voice notes, and how can you use them in HeyReach
Voice notes let you send audio messages to your leads directly from your LinkedIn campaigns in HeyReach.
There are two ways to use them:
Static voice recording – record or upload one message, and every lead in the campaign receives that same clip.
AI voice from text message – write your message with personalization variables included, and HeyReach's AI turns it into audio in your sender's voice. Every lead gets an audio recording with their own name, company, or any variable you use – without anyone on your team recording a thing.
How to add voice notes to your campaigns in HeyReach
Step 1: Clone your voice
Go to LinkedIn Accounts. Every sender now has an Assign voice button in their settings.
You have two options:
Add a new voice – record yourself reading the script on screen, or upload a file from your device. HeyReach AI clones it and assigns it to that sender.
Pick a featured voice – browse the library, preview each one, and choose a favorite.
Your recording needs to be 20 to 30 seconds long – that's the window the AI needs to clone it accurately. Once a voice is assigned, you can preview or edit it at any time.
Running a team?
Select multiple senders and the Bulk assign voice button appears on the right.
HeyReach reads each sender's name and profile picture, detects gender, and matches voices for you – you just confirm.
Step 2: Drop voice notes into your campaigns
Build a new campaign and you'll find a new action step: Voice note.
There are two ways to use it:
⚠️ Voice notes can be added to:
1. new campaigns you just started creating
2. drafted campaigns you created but never run
Voice notes cannot be added in campaigns that went live previously, even if you paused them and/or drafted them after that.

AI voice from message – write the message you'd normally type, custom variables included, and HeyReach turns it into audio in your sender's voice. Fallbacks work with variables here too.
Every message can be previewed before it goes out, so you can hear exactly what your leads will hear. Preview is available for the first 5 leads in your list.
Step 3: See what your voice is doing
Open Campaign analytics and you'll find two new metrics at the top:
Voice note conversations – total voice notes sent
Replies to voice notes – total replies your voice notes received
Scroll down to Lead analytics to see which leads got audio, plus the transcript that was sent.
In Steps analytics, every step with a voice note gets its own badge and its own numbers.
Step 4: Hear the replies in your Unibox
Every voice note you send lands in the Unibox. Open a conversation, hit play, and read the transcript.
When a lead writes back, you can record a fresh voice note for them right there from desktop – no phone, no app switching.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a static recording and AI voice from message?
A static recording is one audio clip sent to every lead. AI voice from message is text you write, including personalization variables, which HeyReach converts into audio in your sender's voice – so each lead gets a unique, personalized recording.
How long does my voice sample need to be?
Between 20 and 30 seconds. That's the window HeyReach's AI needs to clone your voice accurately.
Can I preview a voice note before sending?
Yes. Every message can be previewed, and preview is available for the first 5 leads in your list.
Is this available on all plans?
Yes, Voice notes are live on all HeyReach plans and currently in beta.
Are API and MCP endpoints available for Voice notes?
Not yet – they're planned for 2.0.
