Step 1: Create a campaign
Navigate to the Campaigns option from the side menu, click the Start New Campaign button.
Name your campaign, and click Create.
Step 2: Import leads into campaign.
There are multiple ways you can import leads into campaign. For this purpose we'll go with the simplest and most common one: selecting the lead list that's already in HeyReach.
⚠️ Before you start launching campaigns, create lead lists following this guide
First, select the lead list, which will determine the leads targeted in this campaign.
Then, select your exclusion list and exclusion filters to make sure you don't contact anyone you don't want to targeted with this campaign.
The possible exclusion filters are:
Exclude leads contacted from other HeyReach campaigns: rule out leads that received Connection Request, InMail or message from any other campaign in the same Workspace.
Exclude leads messaged by other senders: rule out leads who have had a conversation with any other sender in the same Workspace (works only if the conversation is registered in HeyReach's Unibox).
Exclude leads contacted by the same sender from other HeyReach campaigns: rule out all leads that received a Connection Request, InMail or message in the same Workspace.
Once you set all details around leads in your campaign, click the button Continue in the lower right corner.
Step 3: Pick your preferred building approach
There are two ways to create a sequence in HeyReach.
Option A: build a sequence from scratch
Option B: import a sequence from a set of predefined templates.
You can reuse a sequence from one of your previous campaigns or use one of the HeyReach suggested templates.
When you click on Browse template you will see a pop up with two tabs: HeyReach Templates, Campaign Templates.
HeyReach Templates are templates created by HeyReach Head of Sales Nadja Komnenić, personally. They've been tested by our sales team and it's proven they're driving results. You can see in the card of every campaign how many time a specific template has been copied, and what's an average connection and reply rate across all campaigns that used that specific template. Clicking on a specific card campaign you can also preview how sequences look like for said campaign.
Campaign Templates tab contains templates from all campaigns you previously run. You can reuse them in a click.
Once you've selected your desired template, please click Import Template.
You will be able to modify sequence in the next step.
Step 4: build a sequence from scratch or edit existing one
When you choose to create campaign manually pop up will hover from your right side with a list of actions you can add to your campaign.
Whenever you add a certain action, the pop up will disappear and you can check how your sequence looks like. For pop up to hover back, click on the plus sign on the branch side where you want to add next action.
Branching in the sequence
Depending on the action you've used, the sequence will branch into two.
For instance, if you used 'Send Connection Request', there will be the 'Accepted' (Positive) branch and the 'Not Accepted Yet' (Negative) branch.
➡️ The right branch is always the positive branch (success side), i.e. what happens when the connection request is accepted.
⬅️ The left branch, considered as the negative branch, i.e. what happens when the Connection Request is not accepted within the delay time set on that branch. Once a lead passes down this branch, they cannot transfer to the 'Accepted' (positive) branch.
⚠️ If your lead accepted connection request after moving down the 'Not Accepted Yet' branch, you can then filter the leads in the Lead Analytics panel, then push them into a follow-up campaign where you can engage with them further.
From there you can add new actions, to both sides of the branches, that you want to automate within the sequences.
Actions steps you can add to your sequences:
Steps:
Send Message
Send InMail
View Profile
Follow Profile
Like Post
Conditions:
If Connection
If Open Profile
Multichannel steps:
Add to EmailBison
For best performance, make sure you are not repeating the same actions in the sequence multiple times. For example, if you have 'Like Post' at two places, the sender's daily limit for liking posts will be shared between all 'Like Post' actions. This could cause a bottleneck in your campaign.
Once you set all desired actions in your campaign, click the button Continue in the lower right corner.
Step 5: Select LinkedIn senders participating in this campaign
The next step is to choose and configure the LinkedIn senders for this campaign.
You can select multiple LinkedIn senders to participate in the same outreach sequence, increasing the number of leads you'll reach daily.
Once you've selected your senders, you can configure their daily action limits by clicking the 'Set Limits' icon on the far right.
In this panel, you can also filter senders based on their status and LinkedIn license (Premium, Sales Navigator, Recruiter), as well as search for them.
⚠️ Keep in mind that the limits of the actions are per LinkedIn sender, and not per campaign. That means that if the daily limit is 20 Connection Requests and the sender is part of two campaigns, the limit will be split across both, with the first-launched campaign being prioritized.
Once you set all details around Senders, click the button Continue in the lower right corner.
Step 6: Configure your schedule
Next tab is Schedule. Where you regulate when will your campaign will be active and execute actions.
Here, you can configure the campaign's start and end dates, working hours, time zone, and working days.
Once you set all details around campaign schedule, click the button Continue in the lower right corner.
Step 5: Preview & Launch
After the sequence is built, you can review it in detail and see whether you've selected the correct settings.
You can go back and make the changes before launching the campaign in any of previous tabs, or clicking on any Edit button in Preview tab.
Once you set all details around Senders, click the button Launch Campaign in the lower right corner.
Congratulations you are live! 🥳
