Launching your first campaign is easy š³.
Navigate to the Campaigns option from the side menu click the "Start New Campaign" button, name it, and click "Create".
Step 1: Set your list of leads
The first thing to do is set up campaign settings. Select the lead list, and then you can select different exclusion filters such as another list of leads you want to exclude (i.e. a blocklist). Other exclusion filters include:
Exclude leads who've been messaged by the LinkedIn senders you'll select
Exclude leads who've been messages by any LinkedIn sender in your organization
Exclude 1st connections from all the LinkedIn senders you'll select
Exclude 1st connections from any LinkedIn sender in your organization
Exclude leads with no profile pictures
Step 2: Select your LinkedIn senders
The next step is to choose and configure the LinkedIn senders for this campaign. HeyReach allows you to select multiple LinkedIn senders to participate in the outreach sequence, and scale the number of leads youāll reach on a daily basis.
š” Note: This is a similar concept to the inbox rotation that some of the email outreach tools like Smartlead, Instantly, and Salesforge offer.
Once you've selected the senders, you can configure and set limits by clicking on the icons next to each of the senders.
We recommend setting limits for each LinkedIn senders to 20-25 connections per day. Sending too many connection requests per day may put your LinkedIn sender in a cooldown period.
š§ Keep in mind that the limits of the actions are per LinkedIn sender, and not per campaign. That means that if you put the limit to 20 connections per day, and use the LinkedIn sender in 2 campaigns - the limit will be separated by 10 connection requests for the first campaign, and the other 10 connection requests for the second campaign.
You can also configure the LinkedIn senders' schedule, by setting up the working hours and the time zone.
After everything is configured, we can proceed to building the sequence.
Step 3: Build the sequence
There are two ways to create a sequence in HeyReach.
You can either start from scratch and add your first action or you can import from templates.
In the āImport from templatesā, you can choose between using your previous campaigns (reuse every campaign youāve previously created) or picking one of the HeyReachās proved templates.
If you decide to build a sequence from scratch, you will create a sequence tree of the given actions:
Connection request
LinkedIn message
LinkedIn InMail
Follow
Profile view
Like post
š§ For best performance, make sure you are not repeating the same actions in the sequence multiple times. For example - if you have āSend messageā action at two places - the LinkedIn senderās limit for sending messages will be shared between all of the āSend messageā actions.
To start building the sequence, simply click on the blue "Add action" button, and choose a step you wanna start with. For example - send a connection request.
ā¢ Connection requests
You can send a blank connection request or you can personalize it by writing a message. The connection request message can be personalized by using the variables. There is also an option to use a ChatGPT personalized AI connection note, that personalizes each connection request for each lead, based on their LinkedIn profile.
š”Tips & Tricks: Weāve seen that empty connection requests (27% avg. acceptance rate) outperform the ones with text (22% avg. acceptance rate), especially if your LinkedIn profiles are well optimized.
ā¢ Fallback message
What if something goes wrong with the personalization variables?
Well, thatās why HeyReach has the Fallback message option.
A fallback message is a simple backup message that is sent automatically if a variable fails to be replaced for any reason. For example, if a recipient's name doesn't load correctly in Message A, the Fallback Message steps in to save the day.
šØ Entering a fallback message is mandatory for LinkedIn messages and non-blank connection requests (connections with a personalized note).
ā¢ Branching in the sequence
After you set up the connection request step, there are two ways this can go on.
ā”ļø The right branch is always the positive branch, i.e. what happens when the connection request is accepted. For example, when the connection request is accepted - you can send a message to that lead.
ā¬ ļø The left branch, is always the ānegative branchā, i.e. whatās happening when you are not getting your connection accepted. For example - until you are waiting for the positive outcome (i.e. accepted connection request, or replied message), you can engage with your lead further to drive them to the right branch (i.e. the positive outcome; accepting your connection request).
When your connection request is not accepted, in the left branch you can choose from multiple actions to increase chances for getting the connection request accepted, such as auto-liking the lead's most recent post or doing a profile view to pop up in their notifications.
š”Tips & Tricks: Usually one of the most effective left branches when sending a connection request is liking their post (if itās older than 3 days), and waiting for at least 5 days before you end the sequence.
Knowing all of this, you can continue building your sequence.
HeyReach gives you the flexibility to structure your campaign and set up every step in the success branch in a way that is as complex as you want.
For example, after the connection request is accepted, you can send a message, and when a lead replies to that message, the automation stops and you can handle the replies in the "Unibox". If the message is not accepted, you can also configure a left branch for the 'Send message' action step, and add a couple of follow-ups.
Step 4: Review & Launch
After the sequence is built, you can review if the right lead list and the right LinkedIn senders are selected, and you can launch your campaign!
Congratulations! š„³
