To change and configure the sending limits and the working hours of your LinkedIn senders, navigate to 'LinkedIn accounts' in the sidebar menu.
All successfully connected LinkedIn accounts will have the option to 'Configure limits' as their main action button.
Configuring sending limits
Feel free to configure the daily limits per each of the actions - connection requests, messages, follows, etc.
Keep in mind that the limits you configure are the maximum limits per day. HeyReach will always try to reach those limits. However, the number of actions we deliver depends on multiple factors, such as your LinkedIn accounts' health and the other activities in the campaigns. We'll never ever try to bypass them or put your LinkedIn account at risk.
Understanding LinkedIn sender's limits 101
It's crucial to understand that these daily limits are per LinkedIn account, and not per campaign. The limits are shared between all campaigns that LinkedIn account is active in.
For example: If your LinkedIn sender has a limit of 20 connection requests per day, and is active in 3 campaigns - the limits will be shared proportionally between the 3 campaigns. That means, that the sender will deliver up to 7 connection requests per campaign per day/
Also, keep in mind that if you have multiple repeating actions in a campaign sequence, the daily limits will be shared between them as well.
For example: If you set the 'Like post' limit to 30 liked posts per day, and if you have 3 action steps 'Like post' in your campaign, HeyReach will proportionally share that limit to 10 liked posts per day (depending on where in the sequence each lead is).
Another thing you need to understand about the LinkedIn sender's limits is that they can limit each other, depending on the action steps that are above them in the campaign sequence. Let's analyze it by an example so you can easily understand it:
The action steps that are higher in the sequence, limit the actions below. So, if you have the limit of Like Post action set to 10 per day, and your Connection request limit set to 20 per day, and the delay between them is less than a day - you'll never be able to deliver 20 connection requests per day for that campaign, because you'll always be limited by the 10 like posts per day.
To make sure you optimize for the best result, always start the sequence with an action step that has a higher daily limit.
Also, keep in mind that delays between action steps in the sequence may influence the number of delivered actions for that day (especially if you are waiting for days).
Configuring working hours
You can configure the sender's working hours by clicking on the 'Configure limits' under 'LinkedIn accounts', and then on 'Go to account schedule'.
Set the timezone, the working hours, and pick the days when you want your LinkedIn sender to be operating. Make sure you are reaching out to your leads in a timezone where they'll mostly like to receive the message.
Another thing to consider is that HeyReach will always respect the weekly limit that LinkedIn imposes on all of the actions, so if you are reaching out 7/7 days in the week, a fewer number of connection requests will be executed (and spread across the 7 days), compared to operating Monday to Friday.
We've seen that Mon-Fri schedule works the best for reaching out to typical B2B people, or people who are not founders/entrepreneurs. Also, entrepreneurs and C-level executives respond mostly on the weekends.
Make sure working hours are spread through the day, if you want a higher number of daily actions to be delivered. If you put only 2-3 hours as a LinkedIn sender's working time, the actions won't be just shot in those 2-3 hours, as we have internal limit between each of them to mimic human behavior and make sure your LinkedIn accounts are safe.
Another thing to consider is the timezone. The senders will start sending in the timezone that's set for them (which might be different from yours!). So, if you see that your campaign is not starting immediately - don't panic; check the timezones of your senders.
The LinkedIn senders that are assigned to a single campaign (multiple senders on one campaign), should be set to operate in the same timezone and same working hours - for the most optimal results.
If you have LinkedIn senders running in completely different timezones, you might not meet your desired number of actions sent per day, so keep in mind that you optimize this.
💫 One of the upcoming features for HeyReach is removing the working hours per LinkedIn sender, and allowing you to configure them by a campaign. Stay tuned.
