HeyReach and Clay are natively integrated! You can easily send leads from Clay into a HeyReach campaign, fully automatically. Click here to access the video tutorial.
Step 1: Connect HeyReach with Clay
Go to your Clay table that has the leads you want to send, add a new column, then click on 'Add enrichment'. Type "heyreach" and select the 'HeyReach > Add Lead to Campaign' option.
Click on 'Manage accounts' then on 'Add connection', and give it a name (something like "HeyReachWorkspace1" will do).
Navigate back to HeyReach, go to 'Integrations > HeyReach API', get your API key, and paste it into the 'API key' box within Clay.
Step 2: Setup your campaign in HeyReach
In order to start pushing leads to the campaign, first you must have created a HeyReach campaign.
Go back to HeyReach, and under 'Campaigns', create a new one.
In the first step, click the button 'Create empty list'
Give the list a name, and select it as a lead list.
All of the leads you push from Clay to HeyReach will be automatically added in this lead list as well.
Click 'Continue', choose your LinkedIn senders, and start building the sequence.
One really cool thing you can do - is set up dynamic personalization variables, that you'll push from Clay into HeyReach, and you'll be able to use them in the connection request notes, InMails, and the LinkedIn messages.
When you are creating the sequence in HeyReach, the variables don't exist (as the leads are dynamically imported on the go), so just type the variables you'll be using, in this format:
β
{variable_name}
Make sure you don't have any spaces or special characters besides "-" and "_" inside the parentheses.
Examples of good variable names: {AI_Icebreaker_1}, {complimentToTheProfile}, {websiteSummary}.
Finish up with the sequence, use as many dynamic personalization variables you want, and launch the campaign.
Initially, the campaign will enter to a 'Finished' state until you start sending the leads from Clay.
Step 3: Configure the data in Clay
Next, we go back to the Clay table. In the 'Add Lead to Campaign' select the campaign you just created.
If you leave the LinkedIn accounts field empty, the leads will be randomly assigned to the LinkedIn senders who are running in that campaign. Alternatively, you can choose a specific sender you want to assign those leads to.
Make sure fields like first name, last name, and Personal LinkedIn URL are all mapped correctly, and proceed to mapping the personalization variables in Clay's 'Custom fields'.
Make sure your 'Custom field name' is the EXACT MATCH as the one you wrote into the HeyReach sequences.
Once everything is configured - run the column in Clay, and the leads will be added to the HeyReach sequence.
Also, if you have Clay's auto-update turned on, each time you update the table (i.e. add a new lead, the enrichment will be auto-executed, and the lead will be automatically sent to the HeyReach campaign.)
Step 4: Test if everything works
Once you've run the Clay table, the leads will start flowing to the HeyReach campaign, and it will change the status to 'Ongoing'. After the first lead is moved in, check the campaign analytics to make sure everything looks good. Verify that all leads are added and the dynamic variables (custom fields) are being set as expected.
If something's not quite right with the custom fields, go back to the campaign, edit as needed, and refresh everything.
And that's it! Your Clay table is now connected to HeyReach, and your custom fields are all set. If you hit any snags or have questions, don't hesitate to reach out.
